30 Candidates from the English community blessed in the sacrament of Confirmation in April

Confirmation is a sacrament where young adults choose to be confirmed in faith. It is an occasion of joy, and as witnesses and members in faith, our right to feel proud of these youngsters who said ‘Yes’ on their own free will to remain baptised in the Christian faith.

On the 23^rd of April, 2019, a total of 30 candidates from the English community of Mother of God Church, Palle, received the sacrament of Confirmation. These 12 boys and 18 girls were blessed by his holiness Arch Bishop Felix Machado. The service was co-celebrated by the parish priest Fr. Raymond Rumao and assistant priests Fr. Robin and Fr. Nobel. Each candidate was sponsored by either their godparents in faith or by Mr. Gladwyn Fernandes and Mrs. Karen Fernandes, who were appointed as godparents by Fr. Raymond for the occasion.

The senior choir guided the congregation in joyful singing through the service and pictures of angelic-looking boys and girls dressed in white were clicked throughout. Post service group photographs with the celebrants and parents were clicked as well.
